The Heart of South Dekalb Festival is coming back and is expected to be better than ever! Kaiser Permanente and Commissioner Larry Johnson are presenting the annual event to the public and residents of District 3 in celebrating the love for diversity in the community and what the district means to the residents living in the community.

Event goers are invited to come out and enjoy family activities, games, entertainment, parades, vendors, networking, food trucks, and more. Attendees will also get a chance to celebrate the many cultural experiences that Dekalb has to offer. Parents and guardians can engage their children in plenty of fun ceremonies, including the Children’s Village and The Parade of Nations.

This two-day weekend event, which plans to attract 2000+ residents, will cater to all ages looking to help commemorate their community through various forms of family-oriented activities. If you enjoy watching live entertainment at night, please join the residents of Dekalb for A Night under the Stars at Rainbow Park on Friday, September 28th at 6 p.m. If you are a morning person and want to be a part of the festival early, then come out and enjoy the Parade of Nations and Festival on Saturday, September 29th at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sponsors and vendors are welcome to attend.
