January 11, 2019 - 1:28 pm

If you are heading out to check any of my favorite places to eat during the two weeks we Atlantan's are celebrating the Big Game, you might want to call ahead and make sure there is seating available. Most places will be packed, but these five are definitely worth the wait!

#5 - Blue Seas Express & Catering
890 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30314 | Facebook Page

There's a little-known restaurant nestled in West-Atlanta known as Blue Seas Express. This small community gem has food options through their buffet and menu items.  I usually order the fish or chicken from the buffet counter and add mac & cheese (which is the BOMB) and green beans (seasoned perfectly). The entire meal cost me around $5 bucks! The food is made fresh daily and they keep prices very low. Blues Seas Express provides a solid, but express dining experience while remaining responsive to the poverty that surrounds the community they serve. The service staff is always a delight. It's a restaurant with a heart.

#4 -  Carrabba's Italian Grill
1210 Ashford Crossing, Atlanta, GA 30346 (multiple locations) | Website

Carrabba's is a great place to get authentic Italian food without breaking the bank. Not only do they have a family atmosphere, the food reflects elements of both old and new Italy. Even though they are an Italian restaurant, ask for the wings as an appetizer, they are amazing! You'll thank me later.

#3 - This Is It BBQ & Seafood
3523 Camp Creek Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30344 (multiple locations) | Website

If you're like me, you L-O-V-E real Southern cooking. The name This Is It BBQ & Seafood is a little misleading. While they do have a delicious array of BBQ and seafood options, they are best known for their home-style cooking. Catfish, chicken, pork chops, Salisbury steaks, cabbage, collard greens, green beans, blackeyed peas,  mac & cheese, cornbread and more are on the menu. This is my absolute favorite place to go and get a home cooked meal away from home.

#2 -  bartaco
969 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 (multiple locations) | Website

When I'm in the mood for good Mexican food that's not too heavy but still authentic, I go to bartaco. They have a spirited wait staff and their soft taco combinations will leave you craving for more. This restaurant has Flavorful food and a social environment that highlights Atlanta's young, hip population.

And finally... here it is... my favorite place to eat!

#1 - Morton's Steakhouse Atlanta
303 Peachtree Center Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308 (multiple locations) | Website

This is my favorite place to go for a steak and great sides in the A! Not only do they have well seasoned and meats and vegetables, their wait staff is knowledgeable, punctual and courteous.  Make sure to try their Cajun Steak!
