When the polls open at 7:00 Tuesday morning, both republicans and democrats will be choosing nominees for the election to be held on November 6, 2018.

Candidates on the ballot were left standing following the May 22nd Primary Election, when they did not receive more than 50% of the vote.

On the republican side, nominees will be chosen for Governor, Lt. Governor, and Secretary of State.

In the runoff for Governor, either Lt. Governor Casey Cagle or Secretary of State Brian Kemp will emerge as the challenger against democrat nominee Stacey Abrams.

In the race for Lt. Governor, either former State Senator David Shafer or Representative Geoff Duncan will face democrat Sarah Riggs Amico.

The runoff for Secretary of State has State Representative Brad Raffensperger going up against former Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle.

On the democratic side, there are races for state School Superintendent, as-well-as Representatives for the 6th and 7th Congressional districts.

For Georgia School Superintendent, Sid Chapman and Otha Thornton are vying for the chance to challenge GOP School Superintendent Richard Woods in November.

Either Lucy McBath or Kevin Abel will face republican 6th District Representative Karen Handel in the fall, while democrats Carolyn Bourdeaux and David Kim face each other in the 7th Congressional District runoff.

There are also a number of state House runoff elections.
