Did you know that every aspect of your life is impacted by your vote? According to NAACP Atlanta's Karen Rene,  "even though people vote, they don't understand how it impacts their lives on a daily basis."  That's part of the education that groups will deliver this fourth Tuesday in September, National Voter Registration Day.

According to Rene, also a member of the City of East Point City Council, the biggest initiative right now is to re-register all purged voters and to encourage everybody to register. Statistics indicate that more than 1 million names were purged from the voter rolls in Georgia.

They'll be registering voters at various events today, including at the Woodruff Library on the campus of Clark Atlanta University.

MARTA is hosting voter registration groups leading up to the election.

Along with the Coalition for the People's Agenda,  Entercom Atlanta's V103 Frank and Wanda Morning Show broadcast live from the 5 Points Marta Station Tuesday, encouraging voter registration.

Rene says, "You have a lot of people who are fighting for you, but we can't fight for you if you're not in the fight."

October 9th is the the last day to register to vote to participate in the November election.
