In less than 100 days, the Atlanta Dream will tip-off the 2019 WNBA season. However, the question looms, can the Dream build on the momentum from 2018?

Atlanta finished with a franchise-record 23 win season – 1st in Eastern Conference, 2nd overall. After securing the No. 2 seed in the playoffs and a double bye to the semifinal round, the Dream saw their season end after the Washington Mystics won Game 5 to advance to the WNBA Finals. Atlanta was one win away from advancing to the Finals for the fourth time in franchise history.

Can the Dream build on the momentum from 2018? According to head coach Nicki Collen and guard Brittney Sykes, YES!

“They know what it takes to be good. I’d like to believe we can press the accelerator down so much faster this preseason and in training camp because there’s a base - we know where we are starting,” stated Collen.

Listen below as Sykes and Coach Collen reflect back on the 2018 season and present expectations heading into 2019!
