Governor Kemp Introduces Plans to Reopen Portions of Georgia's Economy Amid Covid-19 Battle

Georgia Gov. Provides COVID-19 Update on Reopening of State

Beginning this Friday, April 24, Governor Brian Kemp said that gyms, beauty salons, barbers, cosmetologists, massage therapists, and tattoo parlors will be allowed to reopen. Elective surgeries will also be allowed.

On Monday, April 27, dine-in restaurants will be allowed to reopen.

Governor Kemp, Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan, Speaker David Ralston, Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Kathleen Toomey, Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency Director Homer Bryson, and Georgia National Guard Adjutant General Tom Carden will provide an update on COVID-19 from the Georgia State Capitol.
