Fired DeKalb County Bus Drivers Speak Out About Unfair Treatment

Three DeKalb County bus drivers who were fired last week for participating in the "sick out" and encouraging others to follow suit held a press conference at the bordering entrance of the DeKalb County administrative offices in Tucker GA. Supporters of the "sick out" stood in agreement with several drivers, parents, and activist as they spoke about the unfair treatment from DeKalb Superindentant Stephen A. Green.

Fired DeKalb County bus drivers Christine Smith and Sgt Marion Payne shared how shocked and devasted they were when resource officers delivered their termination letters. 

Mitzi Smith a current DeKalb County bus driver, stood next to her co-worker who was also fired last week. Smith shared how the children are precious cargo and the county should provide safer buses for the drivers.
