Amanda Cooper

Amanda L. Cooper is the newest member of the Entercom Radio Atlanta News Department.

Entercom Radio Atlanta includes WVEE-FM V-103, 1380 News & Talk WAOK-AM, WZGC-FM 92.9 The Game, and WSTR-FM Star 94.1.  

Currently, she’s the Afternoon News Anchor on 1380 News & Talk WAOK-AM and contributes monthly to Atlanta Up Close which airs on WAOK, WVEE and Star 94.1.

Prior to joining Entercom Radio Atlanta, Amanda was the host of the syndicated radio talk show "Talking Out Loud with A. L. Cooper." Her outgoing, charming, quick-witted personality was a natural fit for the show and fans loved the intelligent comedic banter between Amanda and her guest. Talking Out Loud broadcasted weekly online and on-air via Proflick Radio in Allentown, Pennsylvania; KSON-Studio One in Mountain View, California; Independent Talk 1100 KFNX in Phoenix, Arizona; and WIGO 1570AM in Atlanta, Georgia. The show was also adapted into a weekly television talk show that broadcasted on DeKalb TV Comcast 25 and People TV Comcast 24; which are both community-based public broadcasting platforms. Amanda also hosted a weekly podcast called One on One with A.L. Cooper.

Amanda's professional background is diverse and includes corporate training, learning and development, voice over talent, and corporate recruiting. She attended The American College of Applied Arts in Atlanta and is currently enrolled in The Georgia Film Academy. Amanda is also a sought-after speaker, whose passion for people has fueled her desire to help those in need learn how to rebuild their lives from the bottom up. She created a free motivational workshop that is offered monthly and driven from her book "Are You an Elliott? Seven Ways to Maximize Your Full Potential."

Over the years, Amanda has been a member of The National Collation of 100 Black Women-Mecca Chapter, and board member for Femfessional Norcross Chapter and Health is Wealth. She has received numerous awards but is most proud of the 2015 Bold Award for Empowered Style that she received; which recognized, the person who utilized his/her love of culture and style to empower others to be educated, beautiful, and emotionally powerful.

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and writing. She also enjoys painting abstract art which has been exhibited in South Carolina, Tennessee and throughout Atlanta.
