Dr. Timothy Cunningham has been missing from his home since Monday, February 12. He disappeared from the Centers for Disease Control in Chamblee where he works as an epidemiologist who has worked with cases involving the outbreaks of Zika, Ebola and health emergencies caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Family and friends say Dr. Cunningham left work around midday after saying he was not feeling well. He apparently made it home in Southwest Atlanta but then disappeared.  Dr. Cunningham’s parents contacted Atlanta Police on February 16 and began circulating flyers asking for any information about their son’s whereabouts after finding his dog, car, cell phone and wallet in his home.

Atlanta Police are now asking for help from the public. The family of Dr. Cunningham has partnered with Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta and is now offering a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

The doctors family is holding out hope that there has been no foul play, however, the police department says it is exploring any and every possibility in this case.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Dr. Cunningham please contact police. Information can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or online at www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.
