Sister Talk: Meet APS Superintendent Dr. Meria Carstarphen

Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Meria Carstarphen joined The Rashad Richey Morning Show Friday to give insight into the first confirmed Coronavirus case at APS. According to Dr. Carstarphen, the school employee had no contact with students and limited contact with employees.

The Superintendent was proactive with getting ahead of COVID-19 by closing APS schools which minimized exposure significantly.

Dr. Carstarphen warns students, parents, and the community they should not go out in large groups, sleepovers or socialize without practicing "social-distancing."
