Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has been named the world's busiest airport for the 20th consecutive year.

According to the Airports Council International (ACI) trade group, Hartsfield-Jackson processed more than 104 million passengers in 2017.

"We are thrilled about the news," said the airport's deputy director of communications Andy Gobeil, adding, "The airport works hard to maintain its status as the world's busiest and most efficeint airport."

Hartsfield-Jackson International is a major connecting hub for international flights and Atlanta is within a two-hour flight of 80% of the United States population.
