Two Atlanta police officers have been fired for using excessive force. Three other officers have been assigned to desk duty following an incident Saturday night in the city. It happened during protests that have been going on in Atlanta since Friday.

In a news conference late Sunday at APD headquarters, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and Police Chief Erika Shields addressed the matter of  the officers seen on live television pulling two college students from their parked vehicle and arresting them.

Mayor Bottoms called it "disturbing on many levels" and that there was "clearly an excessive use of force."

Bottoms says she reviewed the video, "again, and again, and again."

The mayor also announced that 157 people were arrested last night.

A 9 p.m. curfew continues in the city for a second night.
