Multiple people are hospitalized after a fire broke out in an aisle at the Family Dollar on Glenwood in Decatur this morning.

Customer Charles Neal told WSB-TV that all he saw was various colors of smoke and employees running out of the store. DeKalb Fire Captain Dion Bentley says that upon arriving the firefighters observed smoke and flames and performed a check of the building before sending in a fire hose. They were able to contain the blaze quickly.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that four people inside the store are being treated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Investigators with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives were also called to the scene to assist.

A store manager says that the store will remain closed today.
