Most of us, had a hard time remembering to adjust our clocks ahead one hour in observance of Daylight Savings Time.  As April approaches, do not forget that the deadline to file your federal and sate taxes will fall forward as well.

Thanks to President Abraham Lincoln, this year the tax filing date it is being pushed back to Tuesday April 18th; giving filers extra time.

Emancipation Day which is the observance of when President Lincoln signed a law on April 16, 1862 to end slavery, is Sunday, April 16th but will be observed on Monday the 17th; bumping back the tax filing deadline to Tuesday, April 18th.
