August 11th, 2020 proved to cement the new political leadership class in Metro-Atlanta. On the same day Joe Biden made the announcement of US Senator Kamalah Harris as his VP running mate, Georgia made news as well by electing a new Sheriff (Patrick "Pat" Labat) and District Attorney (Fani Willis) of Fulton County. DeKalb County reaffirmed their confidence in their first female elected Sheriff, Melody Maddox and brought in new leadership with Commissioner-Elect Ted Terry.
