Coronavirus Deaths in Georgia Doubled Overnight

During a State Coronavirus update, Governor Brain Kemp says he is concerned about the increase in the number of deaths from the coronavirus in Georgia. Overnight the number increased from four to ten and included in that number were two women who were under treatment at a hospital in Albany. The Georgia Department of Public Health announced Wednesday that the patients were a 42-year-old woman and a 69-year-old woman who both had preexisting medical conditions and developed symptoms after attending a funeral. 

The total number of coronavirus cases in Georgia to date is now 287; that's an increase of 90 from yesterday. Right now, Fulton County has the highest number of cases at 66; the new counties with cases are in bold.
