An Atlanta mother pleaded not guilty to allegedly killing and placing her two children in an oven last fall.

24-year-old Lamora Williams was indicted on a total of fourteen charges by a Fulton County grand jury, including two counts of murder and cruelty to children.

Williams is accused of placing 1-year-old Jakarta Penn and 2-year-old Keyounte Penn in the oven and turning it on at their Oakland City West End Apartment last October, authorities say.

According to family members, Williams had a history of mental health issues.

“The things she was doing was not normal,” said Williams sister, Tabitha Hollingworth, adding, “We knew Lamora had an issue.”

Williams’ next hearing is scheduled for March 30th.
