The Atlanta City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing this Friday morning to address the car booting problem in downtown Atlanta.  This will be the public safety and legal administration committee's second work session for the issue. If approved, the legislation would amend the city’s code to lower the fees to remove boots; reduce the response time; and require employees to wear company uniforms and use self-release boots. Also, the amendment would call for adequate signage to be posted on private property where vehicle immobilization devices are used.

The public is invited to attend the work session, which will be held in Committee Room No. 1 on the second floor of Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. SW, downtown Atlanta.
